PICA ’08 – the only way into National Print Awards 2009

From 2009, the National Print Awards are changing to become “the competition for the best of the best”. Only award winning entries from each State PICA event will be allowed entry to the National Awards.

If in the past you have entered work directly into the National Print Awards, this will no longer be allowed. To gain entry to the National Print Awards, work must first win an award at the regional level.

Select and enter your best work in the SA.NT PICA Awards now!

Awards modernisation begins

The Australian Industrial Relations Commission is in the process of modernising awards, including those serving the printing and graphic arts industry. The new awards may impact on previously non-award covered business.

The Printing Industries Association of Australia is involved in this process and will keep members informed of progress and likely impacts.

South Australian wage case

Unions have filed application in the South Australian Industrial Relations Commission, seeking an increase in award wages and an increase in the minimum standard of remuneration covering non award employees.

We will be engaged with other employer organisations to minimise the impact of any increase and will keep members informed.

Any increase that is granted will apply to all staff who work for non corporations not covered by Federal awards.
