Q. Why was Impact Mail  been introduced?
A. Australia Post is committed to ensuring the success of mail for promotional and advertising activities. Impact Mail is an initiative that provides advertisers an ability to cut through letter box clutter by delivering unique shaped articles. The ability for an Impact Mail  item to stand out from the crowd of rectangular shaped letters enhances the message from the sender.

Q. How do I get details or copies of the Impact Mail  service Guide?
A. The Impact Mail service guide can be downloaded on the Australia Post website at www.auspost.com.au/impactmail

Q. Who can design and print Impact Mail  for me?
A. Use the Impact Mail database to find your service provider.

Q. Do I need to apply to use Impact Mail?
A.
No. Customers are not required to apply to use the Impact Mail  service.

Q. What materials can I use to make the shaped mail pieces?
A. Australia Post recommends the use of paper/card based stock. Should a customer wish to use a material other than paper/card a sample must be submitted to Australia Post for approval prior to the lodgement being accepted.

Q. Who can customers contact with additional and specific queries?
A. The Impact Mail website contains all information on the Impact Mail service. If you have a specific question you can complete the Request more Info form on the website.

Q. How do I become a Sensory Mail supplier?
A. You need to complete a Sensory Mail questionnaire available at www.auspost.com.au/sensorymail. The form asks you to specify the Sensory Mail items you are capable of producing and requires that you submit samples of your work to Australia Post prior to approval.

Q. What does being a Sensory Mail supplier entitle me to?
A.
You will be listed on Australia Post's Sensory Mail website as a Sensory Mail Supplier. Advertisers and agencies use this site to find printers to produce their direct mail. You will also be given the opportunity to submit a bulk number of samples that Australia Post will distribute to their list of Sensory Mail Kit registrants. This provides constant inspiration and ideas for advertisers and agencies - and importantly gives you exposure to these companies.
